After a well deserved summer break we're back at the Leeds ODI node on Tuesday 29th September 2015 for a cracker of a Devops evening...

  • 6:45 - 7:15 : Grab a beer, have a natter.
  • 7:15 - 7:30 : Group updates/news/announcements
  • 7:30 - 8:00 : Say Goodbye to Pet Projects - Tom Walton
  • 8:00 - 8:15 : Intermission
  • 8:15 - 9:00 : ChatOps with Hubot - Lorna Mitchell
  • 9:00 - late : Decamp to the Wardrobe

After much heranging and blatant pestering we've at last persuaded Tom Walton from Infinity Works to come and talk about adopting DevOps culture with his talk "Say Goodbye to Pet Projects". Over the past two decades Tom has worked for several large organisations in Leeds and is renowned for his innovative approach to building teams and agile software delivery.

We're also extremely pleased to see the return of our triumphant "Devoops" panellist Lorna Mitchell, Lorna is presenting "ChatOps with Hubot" at the Velocity conference in October and has kindly agreed to give us a sneak preview. Lorna is a Leeds based PHP guru, Conference Speaker, open source advocate and Oreilly author.

We're also pleased to announce that our new sponsors Infinity Works will be providing us with shelter and a generously stocked bar for the evening.
